Develop your knitting technique with our improver’s hand-knitting course online! You’ve mastered the basics of hand knitting and you’re ready to learn some more challenging techniques. This is the perfect class for you! Over the course, you’ll learn to knit a pair of super cute fingerless mittens.
What You Will Learn in Our Improver’s Hand Knitting Class
During our improver’s hand knitting course, you will learn how to:
- Build upon the knowledge learned in our Beginner’s Class
- Knit a Cable
- Increase stitches
- Work from charts, calculate tension swatches and read patterns
- Work in the round with double-pointed and circular needles
At the end of the course, you’ll be on your way to completing your mittens, have a greater knowledge of more complex stitches and structures and how to apply them. You’ll be able to develop and produce swatches of the stitches you’ve learned, have the confidence to work on more complex projects and experiment with new ideas.
Suitable for: Anyone who has completed a beginner’s class and would like to learn more complex techniques, or for knitters who would like to refresh and improve their existing intermediate knitting skills.
How Long is the Improver’s Hand Knitting Class?
Duration of Class: 2 lessons are held over 2 consecutive weeks. Each lesson is 1.5 hours long. You will be required to work on your knitting project between classes.
Fee: £79 for 3 hours of tuition & all equipment provided.
Location: Online
Equipment for the Improver’s Hand Knitting Class
Equipment and Guidance Notes: We will send you a beautiful crafting box designed especially for your class, with all the equipment you need to get started before the class. This will consist of a 100g ball of Chunky yarn, a set of 6mm double pointed knitting needles, a cable needle, a large eye blunt (sewing) needle and a set of ‘how to’ notes.
Cancellation Policy for the Improver’s Hand Knitting Class
Cancellation policy: We will be happy to refund your payment in full if you inform us of your cancellation 5 or more days before the class is due to take place.
If you inform us of your cancellation less than 5 days before the class, we’re sorry that we will be unable to refund your payment. However, you are welcome to transfer your booking to another date if you so wish. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more details.
